Cycads
Cycads are a group of seed plants belonging to the division Cycadophyta. They have remained unchanged from their fossil records and are often wrongly identified as palms or ferns.
Cycads grow in subtropical and tropical parts throughout the world.
The fossil record shows Cycads in the Early Permian period, 280 mya.
